Seniors prefer living arrangements that offer socialization and an active lifestyle. Staying with families may not be the only option for some elderly persons. Transportation may include trips to grocery stores, malls, or medical facilities. These facilities usually include a dining room for meals and many recreational activities. Assisted living facilities may or may not offer nursing or other medical services. Most offer a hair salon and other personal services.
  • Residential Care Facilities. RCFs for the elderly are designed for people who cannot live alone but want to maintain some measurable control over their lives.
